Running and Growing an Agency is Difficult
Take it from us. We ourselves used to be an IT Agency before we started Clientjoy. Over the past few years, we’ve built more than 29 Products across 4 different verticals and won 7 awards in the process. Here are some of the Products we built for our customers.
We grew from 1 customer from India to over 35 from 9 countries and from 3 people to over 50 team members. As and when we grew, trivial things started becoming more and more difficult.
We started spending more and more of our time and energies just keeping up with our client communication rather than doing impactful and meaningful work.
So, we spoke to our peers. The place where we are based, Ahmedabad, India, hosts more than 1200 IT Agencies within a 15-mile radius. The building where we had our office, had 8 IT agencies.
After speaking to more than 200 people at different designations in 33 Agencies, we figured out that as and when any Agency grew, it invariably became top-heavy; in the sense that the only answer to any problem was to hire more managers.
They were using anything between 4 to 8 different tools to manage their client life-cycle: from Leads to Revenue. They had Excel-based manual reporting or in some cases, no reporting at all. It almost felt like a ‘lack of automation’ and inefficiency was the largest employer at Agencies. They had no idea what their Growth enablers were or what their Bottlenecks were.
This needed to change!
We have faced this issue so we understand it well enough plus, we have experience in building global products. So, here was the BIG question in front of us:
Can we build a product that helps Agencies manage their complete client life-cycle in one place?
We firmly believe that the biggest breakthroughs happen when formidable people question the status quo and upon not finding satisfactory answers, choose to do something about it.
So, we did that, with Clientjoy!
